Is Spec Ops still doing pipe conversions? I have been thinking about picking up a stock pipe and having Odie do a pipe conversion. If not Spec Ops, what else is of that caliber on the market these days? |

Get a Drummer with a DB killer & a race ECM & ear plug's ! & don't look back . It takes a little time to get use-2-it . But WOW it really works !!! You will need better lighting , because you'll drive faster ! With a big old smile mile after mile ! |

I've got the Spec Ops. Specifically bought it because next to the Race Pipe it was the quietest I could find in an aftermarket exhaust. I'm also running Bassani baffles inside the outlets and an EBR race ECM. |

Odie still makes pipes last I heard, but he has a significant wait time. If you need a pipe now, look elsewhere. What are you looking for in a exhaust? |

I have a muffler, cut apart, that may be good for a project. |

I have had the spec ops pipe on my 06 Uly, my first XB platform. I liked the sound, as I had the twin outlets. The bike seemed to perform a little closer to the stock pipe with good low and mid torque I had the race pipe on my second 06 Uly and I liked the sound a bit better as is was little quieter. It seemed the bike didn't have the same pick up in the low to mid range as with stock, but climbed through the rev range just fine. To Froggy's question, I think I want a little more of the vtwin rumble than a stock pipe gives me, but not stupid loud or even moderately loud. I would like to keep the low and mid range power vs a quick trip to the rev limiter like the race pipe. Let me know if any of that makes since.... |

Teeps, As I have zero metal working skills and I don't own a welder, I wouldn't even know where to begin with a trisected pipe. |

Slowride... I have a specops pipe I never used... save you the purchase and modification wait. Then you can keep your stock for a spare or for future sale. See my thread http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 743062.html?1414094324 |

I have a drummer on my 06X and love the volume 😁 I also gutted it and riveted the back plate on after the screws fell out and ran it over.... Now THAT was loud.... I am thinking of getting a D & D for my 08XT.... |
