Hi

has anyone installed self canceling blinker module in the Uly. I really want to install them on my Uly and my sons bikes (not Buells). I know some will say you should be able to remember to shut them off or pay more attention but obviously I have a touch of ADHD and fail to remember at times and that one day may cause a disaster. If I cant find a unit I like I am going to paint all the front blinkers black and not worry about them. I really don't understand why all bikes don't have them my 1980 GL1100 Honda at least has a buzzer when you leave them on and some older bikes have them.
Any way any recommendations?
Thanks, Jeff

I've got a SignalMinder on mine. It works fine. I tried the return springs in the switch but couldn't get them to work quite right. I've trained myself to push the switch off prior to activating the turn signal. Not perfect but I think that no signal is still safer than one left on unintentionally.

I have developed a habit of poking the cancel button as I shift into second.

First ride in spring, I have been know to leave it flash for a long time like a tool though : )

That is a nice thing that Harley has, self cancelling signals.

I love my S1's not to sure an S2 is equal to a Uly though in ridability, I know the S1's are not.
Rather just add the cancel module or plastidip them black so no one pulls out if they are accidentally left on. I can hand signal the turn if cars are near.

S2's are absolutely equal to the Uly.

I have both, and the Uly is....taller.

I also have an S1W..."one cheek seat". Fun little hooligan...for about an hour.

Both my Uly and my S2 have been to Homecomings. From Maryland.

But, I'm with Nate - make it a habit to press "cancel" when you clutch for the 1-2 shift. Easy-peasey.

Go to an automotive store and buy a blinker unit that beeps when used, best solution and easy to install.
I had one of the aftermarket self cancel units and it gave me grief.

Even better, Connect a relay to the blinker circuit and drive a couple of horns.

Reminds me of this:
