Author Message   Df3112 Posted on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 - 10:13 pm:        2010 Exhaust Valve Actuator..... "normally" what I key on the bike I can hear the exhaust valve actuator cycle one time. Now it does not??? WTF I took the bike for a spin minus the air box cover to watch the actuator and it does work when higher rpms are reached and bike seems to run fine. Anyone else have this occur? Also I do not have a engine light / code. I have the same 10 bike myself. We are "of the few" DF3112. Anyway there is a setup in the ECM to test the actuator but as long as it works, at some point, that is all you need to know. It is fine. Was it supposed to do that? My 08 XT never did that since new. All I hear when I turn the key on is the fuel pump running momentarily until pressure is built up. Are you sure that is not what you were hearing before?   Griffmeister Posted on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 - 10:39 pm:        Yeah, I think you still have to "force" the actuator by holding WOT when you turn the switch on. Really need to have the airbox cover off to be sure it is going full stroke. Also, you should have a code if it's not working.   Df3112 Posted on Thursday, May 22, 2014 - 09:19 am:        Yes I'm sure and verified again this morning, Fuel pump also runs to pressure. Not sure but believe the 2010 has a different strategy than previous models.
