rolled motor for gasket change last year. when getting it back on line I was using the new to me full version of ecmspy. Did all the usual checks, adjustments etc. The cold start enrichment just isn't there now. once hot, bike runs fine. Before, a higher idle and smoother start and when warmed up, bout 2 minutes, idle would drop and motor would smooth out. Now, motor fires up and idles rough bout 900 and when warmed up settles to 1000 rpm. runs fine. when fired bike up after roll, it seemed that the ecm had returned to brand new status. took some tps resets and heat cycles ( running) to relearn what it was supposed to do. After 30 or 40 miles it straightened out and hot it runs good. I dont know if the new ecmspy had changed things in the ecm or not. I havent found anything yet . went by book on backing up eeprom etc. with new version. bad plug wire on startup and when got straightened out afv was 123%. that 30 miles set it back down to 105 which has been consistent since. Any ideas for those that are familiar with 07's and new version of ecmspy? |

How did you do the TPS reset? |

Took tps off during motor roll and cleaned. A little grease on end of shaft slot. Reinstalled using ohmmeter doing a hard reset. Needed a bit more to right than original setting. Went thru cold reset, then after got motor And ecm where it was liveable (30 or so miles), got home and went through hot reset and set idle at 1000 or so. I have some xopti advise on riming tables where one populates front timing table w/8° in bottom left 6 boxes, rear table @ 5° in same boxes.. supposed to give smoother idle but results in lower tps setting. Hot, 1000 rpm setting is at 3.2° thought of that as could be a factor. |

Any one have issues in spy where you select or deselect a feature but the result isnt what you wanted? Im wondering of integrity of my copy of spy. I thought someone here had a issue of a selected feature but it wasnt working. When they deselected and reselected it, then it worked. Ive tried that several times allready. |

I've never heard of a higher cold start idle on 06/07. I thought the 07 was the same as 06, except for mapping. My 06 never had a higher cold idle. I wonder if you had an intake leak that quit leaking as it warmed up? |

That could be as during the roll, i changed intake gaskets as well. From the moment i took it home,( bought used, 2200 miles) it was that way. It would idle bout 1200-1250, but after a couple minutes idle would come down and you could tell it was off the enrichment program. Did motor roll round 15000 miles. Had no reason to know any different. Happy easter to you tootal! |

Thanks, and to you and everybody else out there that celebrates Easter. The way yours is running now is how mine has run since day one. |

I don't know if it helps or not as I have an 06... But sounds like your idle is slightly low... Should be between 1050 and 1150 according to th sm. |

I took youre advice gp81 and raised idle while hot. Just seems to fast to me by ear. I know tach shows higher than what ive seen on ecmspy. Ill see what those effects are and change wasnt a lot. |
