So since my recent work on my 2006 resulted in a nicely running 93k engine with torn pushrod tube o-rings I've got to throw away the brand new gaskets and get another set. As long as I'm going in again I've decided to advance my timetable and replace the pistons now. I've been considering having the original barrels bored but apparently there aren't oversize stock pistons available. Using someone else's newer takeoffs is my least favorite alternative, so I think I want to buy new factory cylinder/piston assemblies thanks to the fed gummint allowing me some of my money back. My question, I like the black I painted my originals, so will the black 2009 cylinders/pistons work on my 2006? I know (?) the heads changed somehow but how about the pistons/cyls/wrist pins etc? Don't want any more surprises, I just want to swap this stuff out and get to RIDING...! |

I know you're on a budget, but this would be on my wish list. http://www.revperf.com/product_info.php?cPath=102_ 88_137&products_id=400 |

Yeah Teeps a 1250 kit would be nice but I want to go stock for various reasons, after all the originals got me 93k just fine even with the outrageous garbage I found in there and constant pinging for the first three years. Any clue about the parts compatibility? |

No clue. I would guess yes because all of the aftermarket places list the same part number from, like, 2003 to 2010. |
