Today was my first ride for new season. Time to show off my brand new Touratech bash plate. I was lucky to find a brand new one for a bargain. Ride safe Werner

Wow I love those big chunky tires! How's it handle with them? How much mileage do you expect to get out of them? Got any more pics of it with the knobbies? COOL MAN. |

Yes, TKC 80 in standard size. They handle much better than the stock Pirelli Scorpion Syncs. Very nimble. I don't think they will last as long as. Come to find out. |

I love the look of those tires, they make the Uly look so tough. Like a in your face big 4x4 tractor. |

I ran TKC80s on my DR650 and they performed great both on and off-road...you really don't notice that you are running a knobby tire on the road. I imagine they do equally as well on the Uly. The only downside is the price. The last I checked it was $320+ for a front/rear set. I was able to get 4500 miles out of the rear and over 7k on the front on my DR...I'm not sure what kind of tread life the Uly would get. |

Harleywern..let me know what kinda mileage you get on your tires,,and how much "fire road" rides you an Ramman4x4 do.. There are some wonderful fire roads 10 minutes from my house..one loop is about 65 miles of well maintained dirt roads and scenery to die for.. If and ULy riders are in my hood this summer Ill show you When my oem's wear out I will probably do the TKC with the new rear wheel,,and fronts as well.. |

Very nice Uly, Werner! yeah, many of us lust for the touratech stuff, especially the coveted bash-plate for our XBX's. Quite frankly I'm very disappointed in them(TT)for pulling the plug on us just like HD. I won't spend another dime on any more of their other overpriced products now.. it's a grudge, and that's just me. Thx for posting up the pics of your find! |

how much "fire road" rides you an Ramman4x4 do.. I use my DR650 like a dirt bike...lots of off-road, single track, enduro trails and gravel/dirt/fire roads. The TKC80s will not disappoint... |

Re TKC-80s: I installed them on my 2013 R1200GSW as an "experiment" and---so far---am pleasantly surprised. They do "turn in" a little faster than a road tire, however. On a recent 4-day trip I encountered some unexpected mud, and would probably still be there except for the TKC-80s. --Doc |

Kaikoura wrote: "When my oem's wear out I will probably do the TKC with the new rear wheel, and fronts as well.." I do just the opposite -- running knobbies on the old rear wheel, for the knobbies have a greater chance of seeing water crossings . I've gotten good at changing out the two bearing setup with the heat gun and chilled bearings. The last set of bearings I installed, I packed with Bel-Ray waterproof, and coated the outside of the seals lightly -- we'll see if that helps to keep the water out. I keep the 2010 wheel shod for everyday use and road trips. |
