The short answer to this is that even a early 06 bike will run perfect IE No (little) vibes, 3k rpm flat spots, glitches or anything else even with a decent aftermarket can. Although it may run lean on 06 bike with one it should still run ok. In other words you have a problem and it is NOT the nature of the bike or some sort of Black Magic with the bike. |

Are you saying an aftermarket can will fix our electrical problems!? I think the Uly runs fine on the stock can with minor adjustments to fueling. My '06 ran very well with stock fueling, for that matter. Most of the "running issues" I've seen with my bike and on the forum have not been related to the exhaust or general state of tune of the engine. Perhaps I misunderstand your point? |

As much as I've complained in the past about the muffler not being stainless steel, I feel compelled to go on record now recanting most of my past remarks. Considering that the muffler on my bike is pretty darned old and really no worse for wear, I have to say it probably will last at least another 7 years. Would I ever put a noisy aftermarket can on my ULY. Never. My only wish is that Buell will make the 1190AX electric bike quiet with the option to remove discs or baffles for those that falsely correlate power, noise output, and virility . And, by the way, titanium is half the weight of steel and corrosion resistant. |

The OEM can is very thick steel and should not rust through for a long time. Or at least I have never heard of one doing so. My point is that some think the running problems are due to the "nature of the bike" but most of that is is un-true and a urban myth. The bike WILL run right and if not there is a reason. |
