Maybe?
So the faults continue even on the much vaunted 10 bike. I fixed the "wire-to-ECM" problem but it was still not 100% right. After running a log I found that the BAS volts were changing IE Spikes in the volts it should not have had. Sometimes it was a little and sometimes it was a lot. The big ones would kill the engine, you could see the spark advance go to zero, but the small ones would only give the engine a "blip". At no time did the CEL come on either. I then turned off the BAS. With testing you could see that it was not stable. To ensure that there was also no wiring problems I removed it from the bike. I also changed the fuel pump fuse but I could not find a fault with it. No BAS.
At the moment the bike runs as it should so hope is good. There is also a IAT heat thing, which I have always suspected, going on with these bikes but I will go into that later. |

Your IAT thing wouldn't be engine heat giving false. Air temp readings would it? Mine was showing a min temp of 31c when it was.15c outside |
