It is 32C, 91F here at the moment. The 10 bike is fine with that but not so much with me in full riding gear. Even my tail pack was hot to the touch!!! I have one of the new Arai Quantum ST helmets and the ventilation, even at stand still, is just superb. I love Aria helmets but it is shame the cost so much. They do last well though. |

Welcome to my world. Sounds like an average Florida summers day. The trick is to wear mesh. I would like to ride around in a wife beater & shorts but that type of "gear" gets you killed! I wear a Shoei modular helmet. ventilation is good and being able to flip up the front at lights etc' is a real life saver. |

"The trick is to wear mesh." Yes that is true. I have a jacket and pants so will start to use them. "I would like to ride around in a wife beater & shorts but that type of "gear" gets you killed!". Me as well but DO NOT for the same reasons. Good call Guy. Nice to see someone who KNOWS what can happen on a bike. Running the road is hard enough as it is. Using your face/body to re-surface it is NOT the best idea in the world. (Message edited by uly_man on July 13, 2013) |

When it's this hot I wish I had a Harley so I could ride in a wife beater, shorts and flip flops. The riding in flip flops just freaks me out. Your feet are so exposed to every thing, the thought of grinding off my toes just gives me the willies! |

Flip flops terrify me. Saw my neighbor pushing a lawn mower using flip flops... yikes.. I would love to see him get hit with a stone or something just to see him hop around the yard wailing like a baby. With 26 (bones) in each foot...an accident just waiting to happen. Just the thought of it.. ugh... unless you felt it before you have no idea. |

Had to wear my mesh gear today too. It's comfortable when I'm moving but once you stop, the roasting begins! |

One of my coworkers needed a hydraulic hose with a 90 degree fitting. I told him to wait till this afternoon and they'll all be 90 degrees. Mesh gear the only way to go. Problem is that you want to push the Uly even harder to get the air moving ASAP. |
