Oil is seeping from the seal that is between the clutch cable and the primary case. I have the parts manual and cannot find the seal listed. Can someone please post the part no.? |

It doesn't have a p/n as it's part of the cable. It's just a small rubber(I think) o-ring. Either try to sweet talk a parts guy to find one laying on the floor or hit a Hardware store for a generic. Do NOT overtighten. Screw the cable into the primary while it's stretched out straight. Hand tight is fine, no more than 5-10 in-oz torque or it'll break. Route up to the lever after it's in the primary. Z |

I also like to put a little thread sealant on it. |

O-Ring 11179 (but I just grabbed a generic one from my O-ring kit). It wasn't included with the replacement cable I got for my '06 Uly and isn't identified in the '06 Uly parts list as a separate part but is shown in the '09 parts lists. Zac has given very good advice about not over-tightening and how to fit. Search the archives and there are many tales of woe - many of them from people who were being careful. |
