Author Message   Portero72 Posted on Friday, April 19, 2013 - 06:29 pm:        I replaced my O2 sensor recently(it had been throwing a code at high speeds) and the engine light came on again today, this time in heavy stop and go traffic. Same code. Anyone have an idea why this would happen?   Natexlh1000 Posted on Friday, April 19, 2013 - 07:42 pm:        There is only one wire coming off of that sensor. Follow it to freedom! My X1 liked to burn the wire against the rear header. Also, the header is the other wire in the circuit. If the O2 sensor was faulty the fueling would be all over the place once the engine got past about 100C. Or at least thats what happened with mine. You can turn the O2 sensor off, ECM-SPY, but if its on the CEL code only tells you it is connected or not. If the bike runs ok then it sounds like a cable break or at/in the ECM.
