"1 replace throttle shaft, new manifold seals and clean the throttle body 2 new plugs and magna core wires 3 new throttle cables and idle adjust cable. 6 new tires." Only if needed. "4 while engine is rotated a good cleaning and inspection of wires and such" 8 replace muffler valve cable (frayed)" Yes. "5 flush brake fluids" Yes this helps a hell of a lot on the front. "7 lube rear wheel bearings". I know some do but I would replace them if needed. Also take the front wheel off and check that one as well. These are standard size bearings and you CAN buy better grade ones if you want. Even waterproof and ceramic ones. They will still go wrong if not fitted right though. Other stuff. I used to get idle/running problems on my 06 bike, until warm, from damp conditions. Spraying it with ACF-50 stopped that dead. And just a general service should be fine IE bearings, fluids, filters, nuts/bolts tight, etc. |

acf-50? is that like a wd-40,I've thought about the ceramic bearings,I just can't wrap my head around bearings not made of steel, and rolling around without grease,it just gives me the shivers |

Ah I see. Well anything like that is of course a replace or repair. What I would say, and do myself, is add EXTRA protection to any new parts, if you can, and make a "triple effort" on any repairs to make them last. |

WD-40 is a thread penetration fluid and ACF-50 is a metal corrosion protection spray. You can use WD-40 though its just a bit thin and you need to re-aply it every now and then. Not needed with something like ACF-50. Ceramic bearings are good but not (over the top) needed on a bike and cost a small fortune. I would not bother with them. |

I don't know how many miles your bike has but maybe replace the rocker cover seals as long as the engine is rotated. Sorry I can't think of anything smart ass to say right now. |

I have chanced oils, engine and primary. Installed new brake pads. ... Nothing to do... -so i made foot pegs and cut a piece of my shifter to make it shorter. Pegs look terrible, but riding position is much better for me. http://www.matkaendurot.net/gallery/albums/userpic s/18807/Valokuva0375.jpg |

Got your e-mail. You have a late build 06 which has the 07 shaft and tps sensor. All my shafts have been modified to fit all years up through 07 so I'm shipping one tomorrow. Your not the first to have this problem but hopefully the last one! The new shaft will have two holes in it so you can just match your shaft. |

WD-40 is a thread penetration fluid Actually...that's incorrect. W - Water D - Displacement 40 - the 40th attempt by the maker WD-40 is designed simply to remove moisture. It is not a penetrant nor a rust removal fluid. I've honestly had better luck loosening stuck fasteners with Coca-Cola. WD-40 is thin by design. For a 'thicker' fluid, I use BG products "In-Force". I sprayed some of the BG on a set of spring shackle bolts on a '72 Satellite station wagon. Took about 90 seconds to find the correct socket for the bolts...and the parts were freed up by the time I found the socket I needed. THAT is some good stuff. About $17 a can...but worth it. |
