I just received my new xb9 primary. I will be installing it in a week or two and will follow the service manual. I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or secrets or things I should do that may not be in the manual. I'm so excited!!!! |

Here's a thread I did for my 06. Use the torque specs in your book as your 09 is different. You also have a bolt holding the front sprocket on where the 06 used a nut. I believe the newer bikes have the magnet already attached to the new sprocket so you can skip the scary part and just bolt it on! The other stuff should be the same. I think you'll really enjoy it! http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/425775.html?1230619985 (Message edited by tootal on March 10, 2013) |

You will love it. Do you have a locking bar? Something needs to keep the clutch and primary from rotating on the wrench. Also, the clutch is reverse threaded, but I am sure you already knew that. |

I was curious as to actual differences tween 07back and08 forward crankshafts. Clutch side is larger apparently but is pinion side larger or different as well. Big end bearing and pin were larger I read but how bout od of flywheels ? 17 years with flhr and never been in crankcase itself , nor the sporty either. The 07 12x we will see |
