I'm mounting a set of homemade panniers on my 06 ULY. I have been searching for mounting hardware and have came across two different sets. One site sells them in either 15mm or 18mm tubing sizes and the other site sells them in 3/4" or 5/8" tubing size. Which one do I need? I have the factory mounts on my bike where I took the Hepco bags off. Thanks for your help. The happy-trail site is much cheaper too. http://www.happy-trail.com/Happy-Trails-Pannier-Mo unt-Kit.aspx http://www.touratech-usa.com/Store/1845/PN-053-002 0/Pannier-Mounting-Kit-18mm?sid=12b28b1bd7a7f29c09 0a5e63f1fabcfe0abaa7c8 |

I found some extra large Military ammo cans that I sanded down and painted them OD Green. Plan on going for a Military theme with the bike. This is a pic before I repainted them.

My plan is to take all my Plastics to get them hydro dipped with mulit-cam pattern. If I had the know how, I would just paint all the plastics OD green too. Anyone have any insight? |

If you have original/H&B racks, it's 18mm set you need. Just measure your rack's tube diameter. Look right side of my lower bag (Message edited by jamba on February 28, 2013) |
