The 10 bike is on 6500 miles now and seems/feels to be more "run in". I use normal UK fuel and it runs very good. Today thought I would try the next grade up, Shell V-Power, as this worked better on the 06 bike. Smoother idle and more power. The 10 bikes idle is the same (super stable) as is normal low speed riding. The best bit is 3000 RPM up. Thrash it through the gears and it takes off like its "on fire". Normal fuel was good but this type has the edge. It costs 6% more so if you wanted to have a more fun "power thrash" it would give you that. Get some good mirrors though because you will need them or the Cops will be on your ass. I maybe just me but I have always found that two things "single out" a good bike. One is handling, in all conditions, and Two is "the harder you ride it" the more it likes it. As is easy low cost maintenance. No thats Three now. Good gearbox, light clutch, comfy saddle, throttle control, fuel economy, tire wear and thats eight or more on the Uly. This bike DOES have some design flaws though. It will NOT go to the store and buy the beer EVEN if you give it the money. Lie to my Wife on the phone and makes a breakfast that is SO BAD it is only fit for the dog. Its also not a "self cleaning" bike which to my "modern view" of things is just the sort of "lazy design" we have come to expect from EBR. Happy holiday to all on Badweatherbikers and to your folks. Ride safe, ride well. |
