I think this isn't too bad of a deal for a low mileage bike. I would be interested if I was looking for a Uly (he might even go down in price a little): http://corpuschristi.craigslist.org/mcy/3337683118 .html |

Seems kind of low, no? In my area, they sell for 6,000 with that mileage. |

If you are gonna try and scam people, don't use stolen pictures OF MY BIKE. http://froggypwns.com/images/2007-06-25/slides/IMG _1631.html |

Froggy- off topic, but I saw in your profile that your dealership is in Danbury, CT. Most of my family is from there. Spent a good amount of my my summers in the area. Small world. (Message edited by nateba on November 06, 2012) |

I think Froggy just got busted trying to sell his Uly without telling anyone. |

I'm thinking The frogman should perhaps contact law enforcement. Perhaps Corpus Christi police would like to bag some "low hanging fruit"? |

Wouldn't do any good, assuming this is a scam, the seller is in some random foreign country of your choice. They correspond with you by email, say things like they are in the military in Iraq, bike is in storage, etc, want you to wire money to a fake escrow or similar. Either way, the bike doesn't exist, they just copy pictures and descriptions off the interwebs and lure you in with something thats listed at half its normal price. |

I just happen to be in Corpus Christi today. Maybe I should e-mail the guy and ask to come check out the bike. |

I first saw that ad in October. It was listed for $4400 then which isn't unheard of around here, then $4000 a few days later. Only I think the uninstalled exhaust option was a V & H back then rather than a Jardine. |

I paid 4K for mine. Its a 2008 with 13000 miles. I was trying for $3500 but gave in because it was in really decent shape except for the tires, and the guy was nice and I didn't want to play with him. Plus it was CLOSE, and easy to pick up. $3800 is a fair price, on the lower side, but the market for these is limited. |

The scam artist are getting smarter. They look up the current selling price of the vehicle and put in on the web for 10% below the lowest price to make it believable... I usually ask a bunch of obvious questions to test the seller (i.e. does it have a rider comfort kit, why does it have a Harley Davidson taillight instead of stock Buell on...) |
