Just as I bought it. Bald tire shown in these- the seller told me- "you should get another 5000 miles outta these!" Now has the TKC's on it as of yesterday, but I won't see it until I head back to the USA in mid November. Wheels are also being painted flat black. Next project, get rid of everything orange! |

OK, whats the trick with the photo uploads? Badweb's sort of unique in that regard. Read here (scroll down to the photos instructions): http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/disc us.cgi?pg=formatting |

Glad I'm not the only one. This website has the worst photo upload process of any I've seen. Don't think it could be much more of a pain in the....... |

5000? I would think another 7000-8000. Who needs tread anyway, just increases rolling resistance. And with a rear tire like that its circumference is bound to be a tad smaller, resulting in a ratio change and a increase in acceleration! |

HEY! Be careful posting that picture without obliterating the tag number! The 100's of people who see it here are different from the 100's of people it will drive past in traffic, at any number of bike gatherings across the U.S. or while sitting parked in a Walmart parking lot and that information could be used for evil. Lets back down the cavalier-ness with which we post personal data. If that bike were staying in FLA, I'd say the tire's shot. Any other state and I'd say spend more time on the chik'n strips and you could easily get another 4-5k. |

Press the upload attachment button at the bottom of the page, browse to the photo, click OK, and then you are done. As long as your picture isn't too large (either dimensions or file size), it will work. |

7873Jake- what can they do? I have guns, and lots of guns... and... Its in FLA and staying in FLA. TKC's installed and waiting for me! I was slip sliding away in the rain when I rode it- not rain, wet roads after rain. I'm sure the TKC's will not be much better. Froggy- I tried that one, didn't happen, maybe too big? |

Philip, I always chuckle when i see a photo here and the tag is doctored to hide its numbers. Dozens, if not hundreds see the tag in public each day. People often go to a bike show and take pictures of the rides in the parking lot or in the show and post them in online albums with links here and no one fiddles up the plates then. Just one of those observations... |

7873Jake- I know, whats the big deal? I'm almost hoping some whack job will show up. I need some excitement! Truth is, I learned a long time ago to use an alias address- PO box or a friends, because in Miami we have car dealers who make copies of all your keys and come and steal your car or bike, break into your house, etc. They come to address on that tag, it won't be my home.. These pix were taken in NSB, we camp there and I keep a few trailers there, its like a 2nd home. I'm out of the country, but will come back in mid Nov if you're heading to the beach we'll work on a fly-by. |

The main problem with posting pics here is, like Froggy said, the file size. I have to use Photoshop to shrink them to allowable size. There are cheaper ways to shrink them out there but that's usually the problem. |

^ or you can set up a free photo hosting account at someplace like Photobucket and post links to your pics here rather than hosting the pics at Badweb. A lot of other forums require you to do that anyway. I posted a link to the photo above rather than downloading the photo and uploading it to Badweb. |

Philip, I live in Deland. If you're ever in the NSB area and need a second set of eyes/ears or TPS/ECM work, PM me and I can give you a hand. We "escaped" So Fla ten years ago and haven't looked back...'cept when we have to go down to see the M.I.L. who lives at the very end of the turnpike. |

Yeah, I saw that on your profile, thats why I offered a fly-by on your way to the beach. We stay about 2 miles off 44, so if you're on the way to NSB for a ride, not far. I'll bring the flag with me when I finally leave for good, its getting close, either that, or we head to the Lower Keys and live there. Miami Beach is getting to be a nightmare... |

Yep, know the feeling about "bald" tires. I think I must have scraped something.... Russ

I wish... Two errors. First, improperly hanging a tool kit under fender; second, ill-adjusted rear shock. I guess that'll do it. |
