I have not yet replaced the IAT but I am out on the bike. It "bimbles" around town great, a big handful of throttle makes it go like its got a "weed up its ass" and the "sound" it makes is a wonder in its self. I only went out to pick up something, 30 Min/5 miles, but it took me over two hours and 50 miles, LOL.
Wasting gas? Yes but I do not care. Wink. |

So you have the bad IAT Sensor installed yet and now it runs good? Is that because you temporarily relocated it? Was it maybe just a bad connection? Thanks. |

Just moved the old one, as yet, to the outside of the airbox. From what I can see a slight variance of air temp is not a big deal but 300% more is WAY out. I think the sensor itself might be fine, as it works ok now, but it may be picking up heat from the engine through the connector block possibly from a air leak through the plugs seal. I will do some tests once I have the new IAT. All I do know, at the moment, is that the bike IS running right and the way it should. If you think you may have a problem just do as I have and see what happens. It is, after all, free to do. |

Where do you now have the IAT located? |
