Hopefully 2 pix uploaded. Looking for info on 4 vents in top of rear fender, but are blocked/capped under seat. What is proper configuration? 2010 Uly XT. Thanks.

Those aren't vents. Those are attachment points for bungee cords. |

Those are anchor points for bungee cords or an elastic cargo net to hold stuff onto the seat or triple tail. |

I thought they sucked air away from the rear wheel & redistributed it into the void between the fender & the seat to: A) Cool the ECM. B)Provide a positive pressure down force effect on the rear wheel at speed! I could be wrong though. (They could be so you can hook bungees into them....) JKG. Chris C |

These are vents - see photos http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/295156.html Never have had a problem with ECM either in over 36000 miles. |

Jeepnh, The underseat rib is also vented. I did it to allow heat to vent out instead of dead end around the battery and ECM. I see you asked a question on the archive. |

They were actually designed as vortice actuators for the BLACK uly. (otherwise they would be SO fast, you couldn't hang on to the bars)! |

Now some of you are screwing w/me, NP/ok, then the rest are just confused, I've seen elsewhere on here, folks putting PVC elbows, either on the underseat side on wheel /fender side. Seems a few folks are thinking venting ?? What say you? This photo is from someone else / Archive.
