Hello All, I would assume that bar end weights have been discussed to death on this forum. My hands are pretty bad normally (numbness from vibration) but since the weather has cooled off (4-8 c in the mornings) they've been completely numb five minutes into my ride to work... leaving me with numb and/or tingly hands for the remaining 20-25 minutes. I have never used bar end weights before but had pretty good results with home made weights inside the bars on previous bikes. So I looked around for the heaviest ones I could find and settled on the HVMP extra heavy model. And of course they are made to be compatible with our hand guards. They arrived yesterday, installed in all of about 2 minutes, and I am very pleased with the results! my hands were fine when I got to work this morning. At 4000 rpm I can barely feel the engine running! Just thought I would share, for the sake of anyone else debating the $$. For me it was worth every penny! Dave |

You made a wise choice. Had the HVMP's on my Uly. Sold my Uly and the moved the bar ends to my S3T. Very satisfied. |

Now add a pair of Spider PEAK Grips and you won't even know the engine is running! They're only $17.95 and work like a charm. http://spidergrips.com/spiderg/models/introducing- the-new-spider-peak-grip/ |

I fitted weights to both my 06 and 2010 bikes and they work. Seems like they are needed and should have been OEM fitted. These bikes benefit "big time" from very cheap mods and can not understand why they did not do them from the start. Hey Ho thats the way of things these days I guess. Uly man, cheap mods like the HVMP bar ends are cheap, but when you have to add them to the thousands of bikes you produce, they get pricey. |
