Gents Anyone do a muffler mod/ swap to a special opps or drummer? I'm considering it again....... Just looking for feedback off performance vs. stock, sound quality and driveabilty opinions. I'm considering a SS Drummer as I'm a huge fan of full stainless exhaust systems. Also concerned about calibration with any of these mufflers though. I'd rather not mod up my stock muffler for resale sake. I have a brand new XB12 muffler if I go that route so i can retain the ex valve. Thanks for the feedback !

I have a Drummer and I am very happy with it. I got it when the bike was new (1st winter) Late 06. It's not the stainless one. It has great sound/preformance still no rust Kevin is a great person to work with and the quality is the best I have ever come across.
Update to that: Since I added the Drummer dB Killer, I found it was too quiet and just didn't have enough sound for me, so I e-mailed Kevin and asked him what I could do. Kevin recommended that I drill a 1/4 hole, in the center of my dB Killer and it worked great. Added a little oomph and made it a tick louder, right where I wanted it. Hard to describe, but it really improved the sound. With the EBR ECM, a free-flow air filter, I am very happy with this setup.

I have a Drummer SS pipe, and LOVE it. Looks fantastic and sounds great. I wear ear plugs anyway, so the extra sound does not bother me.
I wrote this about Kevin and Drummer when it needed some service, I will def buy from him when I buy another Buell:

I just wanted to publicly thank and recognize Kevin Drum of Drummer (KDFab). I have a Drummer SS pipe on my Uly- what a fantastic piece of equipment! Sounds great, performs great, and IMO is the best looking pipe on the market. Well I now have another "best" category to list Drummer in- best customer service! I had a minor issue with my pipe, and he said to send it in to him. My pipe came back looking brand new and re-packed.....and he refused to allow me to pay him for any of it. I'm floored by his level of service. His response to me? "Thanks for letting me fix it the right way". Wow.
If you're on the fence, BUY ONE! No regrets. www.kdfab.com
The best way I can think of to thank him is to send him more business, which I will gladly do.

Df3112. I have the same bike as you but it is the EU version. I fitted a Stealth Engineering of Southampton UK can.
All polished SS, 3 inch slash cut outlet, metric chin fairing mounts, near half the weight of the OEM can, good but not very loud V-Twin sound and ok for long trips with ear plugs. No fueling problems on my bike, fits the bike perfect, runs no problem without the can servo which you can leave in place or switch off with TunerPro. Top quality build/materials and hand made to order. 250UKP plus post in the UK. Half the price of a Remus and just as good. I have had no problems at ALL with it.

"Looks great, do you have some photos of it installed on your bike? Also contact info for the supplier." No I do not but I will post some.
Its much like the Drummer SS, oval in shape but with a 3 inch slash cut outlet thats in-line with the side of the can. Unlike the Drummer its made for the chin fairing to be fitted and would not look good without it. You MUST use the front mount as well. The quality is just amazing and easy as good as anything else. I have NEVER heard a bad word said about them.
He sells them through E-Bay every now and then so if you keep a search going for "Buell exhaust" it will come up on your E-Mail. I will try and find some details for you. This is his UK telephone number 07789967227.
My bike came with the Special Ops pipe. It sounds good, but it's honestly louder that I would personally prefer. It borders on obnoxious, and I don't like to ride the bike in and out of my neighborhood at night for fear of angering my very good neighbors. If I am going out after dark on a motorcycle I take my TDM.
Here is a short video of my bike with the Special Ops pipe. It's hard to get a feel for the volume, but you get an idea of the sound. Special Ops pipe video
I have a Drummer on my 1125R and LOVE it. sounds perfect. One old guy in my neighborhood puts his fingers in his ears. That hurt MY feelers... all the old ladies wave and smile. Maybe they're deaf...
My Uly is bone stock 09 and I like it's quiet "stealth" mode. I'll admit I dream of it with a Drummer too, idling like an old Panhead.
well............... I sent email and called cell phone for special opps with no replies. Not sure e's in business anymore, at least for Buell stuff. Just got off the phone with Kevin Drum. Very nice guy with lots of info. REALLY leaning on a SS Drummer Still need to run it past the boss ( even though I already know she'll be ok with it cause she loves bikes ) So we'll see what I decide on. IF I go with a SS Drummer, I will have for sale a "new" XB12S muffler. I was going to use it for a Special Opps. Thanks to all of you for the replies and feedback! DF-
Question on the Drummer SS 1)Has anyone out there installed on a 2010 ULY w/ stock cal? 2) Does it still have the "jack" points on the muffler? I use those for changing tires.... Thanks !!! DF
Made up my mind! With researching the whole scenario. Keeping the stock muffler and cal. It's just too much risk / cost, and runs TOO good as she is now! Will get it Jet-Hot coated this winter. Thanks for all the feedback! DF-
