Figured for $20 even if it sucked I could let you guys know so you dont or do buy it. Let you know as soon as I get mine what I think. If you havent heard of it here is a product review. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHJAfBVkxZE Going on a trip the first weekend in september. Should be at least 8 hour days riding as we will be gone for only 2-3 days. Cruise, bar end weights, and palmer pegs are on the list of additions for that trip. GPS would be nice but little pricey. |

Afsoc, did you order yours for a 7/8's or 1 inch handle bars. The uly bars are 7/8 inch but I wasnt for sure if you were supposed to measure the grips or not. |

"GPS would be nice but little pricey" Improvise: http://www.amazon.com/Handlebar-Holder-Mount-Syste m-DigiWalker/dp/B004424DQC/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid= 1344523862&sr=8-5&keywords=mio+digiwalker+mount It was cheesy as hell but with the addition of some velcro strapping, my Mio GPS stayed put right where I mounted it. |

Xbkris, I ordered the 7/8" fits like a charm. You lose 3/8" of the grip I guess due to the way it mounts. but it is not an issue. You will see what I mean once you place it on the grip. But once you get the hang of setting it on the slab for a constant speed its nice to let go of the bars to get the blood flowing or adjust the gloves etc... |

Yea, I'll stick with my $1 Caterpillar o-ring, smaller, cheaper, and easier to use. |

Froggy, cheaper then a buck at Mc-Master Only kicker I dont like about the o-ring is I loose em if they are just hanging on the Grip. Tend to blow or vibrate off. Not an issue if you have hand guards on. |

I don't use cheap o-rings, here is the one I have http://www.ebay.com/itm/8M4991-CAT-O-Ring-Motorcyc le-Throttle-Lock-Lot-10-/200361377798?vxp=mtr&hash =item2ea6780006 It is the right size for our grips, it will not move on its own, I haven't lost any yet. I just slip it in between my HVMP bar end and the grip when I need it, and a flick of the wrist and its back out. |

Used this for a 5k mile trip to mexico and back....It did seem to start slipping a little bit more towards the end of the trip...and $20 seems a bit much for a little piece of molded plastic (I'm no expert as to how much something like this cost to mold) but it sure as hell beats paying $180 for a kaoko. |

I work as a diesel mech and I bet that I could get a deal on those o-rings. Will check it out and see. |

Nope, looks like it will cost me $3.89 per o-ring. |

I just ordered one as well. I have an o-ring but thought the go cruise would work a little easier. I cannot use the o-ring on my 1125R since installing a set of very soft rubber grips. To flexible for the o-ring to hold. |

I had a gocruise, be careful if you take it on and off the bike, broke mine in half and only took it off my bike twice Bought a vista cruise, and its the way to go! |

Well, I got the go cruise last night. Took it out for about 30 min. It comes with a little rubber band that you put around the throttle so that the go cruise can grip. Had no trouble sliding it on. It does take some getting used to once riding down the road but seemed to work very well for $20. The big test will be in three weeks when I head to east tn. It holds the throttle perfect and it hasn't slipped yet. Time will tell. |

I am very satisfied with the Go Cruise product for my XB12XT! I had a last minuet trip come up from NC to Yellowstone and back and the first I did was start looking for a throttle lock. Needing to maximize my money for the trip, I decided to give the Go Cruise a chance and had it shipped to me the day before I left. It was a trip saver and I couldn’t have asked for more. However I will say that the vibrations of the bike did cause mine to loose grip over time on the supplied rubber ring, but that was fine with me as I was just looking for a way to rest my hand for a few miles. The Go Cruise had become a permanent fixture on my XT. |

I like the product and move it back and forth between two bikes and no problem with breaking. I have the foam grip covers and it doesn't slip at all. |

The only thing that will take some getting used to for me is that it takes up a little space and the stock grips are not that wide. When my hvmp bar ends come in I'll be riding in style! |

I've had similar products in the past but not on the Uly. I'm looking at a real cruise control. I just got back from a 2800 mile trip. A lot of it was interstate. A grip lock would have been nice but with the amount of wind and hills it would have been really nice to have a real cruise control. Some forward pegs would have been great too!! But for $20.00 it's a great deal for short term relief. |

For the guys who use an O-ring for your cruise control: How does it work? I've never seen it used before and I don't mind simple and cheap. Thanks, Chris |

I need to take some pictures. It is quite simple, I use mine with HVMP barends, I have a gap a little wider than a quarter between the throttle grip and the bar end/hand guard. A flick of the wrist to the right drops the o-ring into the gap, locking the throttle, but still allowing movement if I need to adjust for hills, and it can still be easily rotated in the event I need to panic stop. A flick back to the left easily pulls it out of the channel, resulting in normal throttle operation without a giant rod taking up a chunk of your grip. |

I did not have the hvmp bar ends when I ordered mine. They are one the way though. Might try the oring as well and keep which one I like the best. Without the bar ends the oring will not work Clang. At least as far as I can tell. |

Re throttle lock on the XB: I simply "unhooked" the main return spring down at the throttle body. The throttle still self-returns, and it's MUCH easier on the hand. Wish the same trick was possible on my Ducati... --Doc |

So you have to have bar ends to use an O-Ring throttle lock. Doesn't the handguard get in the way? |

Would love to see pics of the o ring. I've been using a piece of coat hanger twisted around the grip - same idea as the go cruise. The coat hanger slips a little bit due to vibration, but it's good enough to give my hand an occasional break. |

Here are 2 that sound like what Froggy is talking about on E-bay For use with handguards http://www.ebay.com/itm/Buell-XB-Cruise-Control-Ba r-Ends-With-Fork-Swingarm-Axle-Sliders-XB12-XB9-/3 20964117109?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash= item4abaf3c275&vxp=mtr And for without handguards http://www.ebay.com/itm/Billet-Aluminum-Cruise-Con trol-Bar-Ends-for-Buell-XB9-XB12-Motorcycles-/3209 64122692?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=ite m4abaf3d844&vxp=mtr |
