I wanted to the thank the forum member that reduced the heat by putting aluminum tape over the opening under the seat. I did a search, but couldn't find the thread. (too many heat related ones) He mentioned the triangular opening above the rear valve cover and he used aluminum tape to cover it. Well, I got tired of the heat coming out of the right side seat gap, used the tape and viola! The heat is a no issue on the thigh. I didn't even block the entire opening, just what I could get to pulling the seat off, yea, I'm that lazy. And it was in the 80's on my commute home. I could not believe the difference. Try it, the tape is cheap. |

I did it like this;
I put the tape on a piece of kevlar material, then taped it on. |

Yep, that's the opening. Now I only feel the heat blowing on my left calf which I attribute to the RSS when on the freeway. But that I can deal with. The hot air needs somewhere to go afterall. |
