09 xb12xt Had a fuel pump fuse blow last summer when I ran it too low on a hot day.Put a new fuse in and everything was ok. Got stuck in traffic today and should have stopped for gas sooner but I didn't. The fuse blew right in front of the gas station. Filled it up and put in a new fuse but nothing happened. Pump will not run even after it cooled down hours later. Guess I will be looking for a new pump unless anyone has some good ideas |

I have a fuel pump I took off my '06 Uly. Wires chaffed, but pump works fine. (bout 50,000 miles on it.) Pay shipping and it's yours. |

Seems like if pump was bad fuse would immediately blow again when you turn bike on. Check relay before you pull the pump; it couldn't hurt. |

Or a chafed wire went from "fuse blowing dead short to ground" to "broken and wide open circuit", keeping the pump from firing.... |

I've checked the relays and ohmed the pump , unless there is a thermal limit on the pump in addition to the fuse it looks like the windings are open Bob I will take you up on the 06 pump , thanks!! |
