6mm, 8mm, or 10mm? Considering getting wheel stands and the swingarm spools should increase stability. I have never used wheel stands but they look easy and stable. Can they be used separately by putting the bike in gear? ANY suggestions, comments, and/or help would be appreciated.Motorcycle Superstore has a good sale on MotoStance wheel stands. Thanks. |

There is no provision for screw in spools like the 1125 has. You have to use axle style spools. I have a set of D&D machining's spools and sliders (below) and recommend them, they are well made and look great on my bike. They have multiple styles available and even have front spools for your bike. Thanks, Badrap. Much appreciated. Do wheel stands work well without spools? I'm considering getting a pair for tire removal, belt replacement, etc. Any experience with the MotoStance wheel stands? Motorcycle Superstore is offering them for $56. ea., normally $80. Thanks |

If you get a regular stand, it should work so long as its wide enough. Our bikes have very wide swing-arms. I haven't used that particular stand, just make sure its wide enough before you buy. Even if you don't get spools, I think it's a good idea to have sliders on the bike to protect it in case you dump the bike or crash. |

Ah yes, I too want axle sliders/spools, BUT with those type, you can't use the stand to change your tire, as they go through the axle. I use the Universal Rear Stand from Motoboss on my old Buell and it works fine. But, yes the swingarm is wide and make sure it will fit, or just save your receipt! |

Get the Pit Bull stands for the Uly/1125R from American Sport Bike. They are designed for the unusual size and angles of the Uly swingarm, most other stands wont fit or wont hold it right, increasing the risk of disaster. |

The Uly has a slightly tapered swing arm at the axle end. I use a standard generic stand and its fine. You just need to bend out the front end of the cup a little and bit of hard foam helps to protect the arm finish as well. No big deal just treat it as a normal bike in this regards. |

Check out this thread. At the end Tipsymcstagger posts links to a couple of standard motorcycle jacks and a template to make adapters to lift using the muffler. I made a set using 2x4s and use them on my Uly, VERY stable and easier to use than the lift I have for my 1125R.
