Yup, sold her the other day. Now looking for a Ural side-hack unit. Not to fear, the S1W and the Firebolt are safe in the stable! |

now let me get this straight, you sold your Uly to get a Ural? I wonder how many are going to sell their Corvettes to purchase a Yugo? |

If someone came up to me tomorrow and said "Hey! I'll trade my Ural Patrol for that XB of yours", they wouldn't have to finish the sentence before I would whip out the title. But if the Uly is a Corvette, my 1125R must be a Veyron, so it wouldn't be any loss |

Yes, sold the Uly for a Ural... The Ural will do what I really wanted to the Uly to do; sight-seeing and back country road riding with out having to worry about falling down in some mud, lose gravel or sand. To me the Uly was just too tall and didn't like the low RPM chugging. Plus I did not find the seating position all that comfortable on long haul trips. But fear not, I've still got 2 Buells in the stable for fun!! |

Froggy, I think beauty is in the eye of the beholder because I just looked at the Ural website and I still can't stop laughing at that thing! I would rather ride a motorscooter that that. Don't get me wrong because I don't think the Ulysses is the best looking motorcycle on the market by a long shot, but it is the best all round motorcycle I have ever ridden and I have been riding motorcycles for almost 50 years now. |

I would love to have a Ural w/sidehack and the 2-wheel drive option. Then I could ride every day of the year, even when it snows. But where the hell would I park it??? I agree with Don tho, the Uly is the best "all-around" motorcycle I have ever owned. Much better at commuting than my 1125R and the carrying capacity is staggering. I've made it home with a full cart of groceries on several occasions. Zack |

"I would love to have a Ural w/sidehack and the 2-wheel drive option. Then I could ride every day of the year, even when it snows." +1 I don't currently live in a place where it snows in the winter, but someday I might. "I've made it home with a full cart of groceries on several occasions." +1 to that also. _I've got a couple Burgman riders in my class who were talking about how much more storage they have on their automatics than a motorcycle. I "ahem-ed", pointed at my Uly, and smiled. I love many things about our Ulys, but would thoroughly enjoy and ride the snot out of a Ural. And a Zero S. Then my stall would be complete! |

I'd make that trade ONLY as long as I had other steeds as well. |

Some of my mountain snomobile buddies have evolved with the technology of the sleds to where 160 hp and 425# STOCK makes going anywhere so possible (coming down is still and issue as are avalanches...more than ever). Their answer? Going back to simplicity like a Tundra by Skidoo...something one would use to run a trapline in AK. More sport...maybe like a Ural? |

Not for big lanky bastards like me, RD...but with some modifications I'm sure it could be easily stretched. I would rock a Ural. And I'm sure my driving record would appreciate it (don't try to get anywhere in a hurry on one!) |

Adrian, I kind of liked the chrome too. 110 style points! Being of that elder group who will one day need cataract repair, bright light sources from my peripheral vision can be blinding! ( Chrome air box covers and HID's would likely kill an AARP member!) If it were mine I would be wearing sunglasses at night for sure! U R A L. Is that not kind of the AK-47 of motorcycles? |

Never even noticed the chrome on my/Adrian's Uly. The chin bar of the full face helmet blocked it completely. The Ural is the "jeep" of motorcycles. Simple, go anywhere machines that are very FUN to ride!!! I'll probably ride it over to watch the 200 and camp out. Can't pack as much on the S1W or the Sporty... LOL |

The sidecar is surpisingly comfortable for my buddy who is 6'1". Not sure about sleeeping in it though... LOL |

Interestingly, the Ural culture is very simular to the Buell culture! |
