After 2 years without my Orange 2006 Uly, I'm heading to Chicago to pick up the black 2008 Uly that Cerk26 has listed in the classifieds. Etennuly was kind enough to offer one of his trucks for the trip. I'm the navigator. Its gonna be cold and snowy but I don't care. I'm comin back in black! Woot! | ||

I kept hearing they are faster. Now I get to check it out. Honestly I'm looking forward to comparing my new XT's handling to my old X in the twisties. I live about 25 minutes from the Dragon. Sunday is supposed to be 60 degrees.....hmmmm. | ||

After the last few years of battling with the economy it is so great to see one of my compadres' so fired up about something! It has been a long drought, congrats Mark on getting this back!  It is a great start. But a black one! Really.....damn. If I had known it was a black one.....  'Cago bound in the AM. We will get'er done! | ||

NotGoinBackius Just get some graphics made up. An orange would look good on the sides of a black air box. | ||

Ha! Sounds like a dinosaur name. The NotGoinBackius lived in the plastocine period. It changes color only once during its lifetime going from a bright orange to a sleek black. Oddly enough ,by abandoning its previous color the NotGoinBackius becomes more agile and significantly faster. Its at this point that it also becomes more attractive to female NotGoinBackius. Nice one Ourdee! | ||

How many miles do you have on your Uly now? That's great news. Well I didn't know what my mileage was so I just looked and it's at 29229. I know, not that much but it shares duties with the geezer glide which went all the way to Newfoundland over the Summer. That bike has 90,000 miles! The Buell gets commuter duty and runs to Buelltoberfest and Homecoming. The roads around here have 11 curves in 318 miles so it's just not prime riding for the Uly. Glad your back among us. Skinstains, maybe I'll get red and avoid the orange/black controversy altogether. Seriously I do like the red. Tootal, I put 25k on my 06 in a little over two years. It was my only bike and I did most of that within 200 miles of home. How did you know my wifes pet name for me? | ||

Well we are back in Tennessee with a Black Uly! It was a great trip, glad we took a 4x4. My suggestion to Mark.....over and over.....buy a bike in Florida in January - NOT the one in Chicago!  You are welcome Mark, I enjoyed the road trip and a break from same old - same old. Great to see you smiling!  | ||
