Would any experts on this forum care to weigh in on options & pitfalls of changing the ECM from my 08 ULY to one one from an earlier year to allow ECM spy tuning? What about a 2007 (or earlier) after market tuner? Thanks, MOP |

Can't be done, they are 2 totally different fuel injection systems. A good chunk of the sensors on the 08 is different too, so it isn't even something you could modify to work. You would need to change the motor and the wiring harness at a minimum to make it work. Your best bet? Use tools designed for your bike, like an Race ECM from Erik Buell Racing (either programmable or pre-programmed), or TunerPro software. |

I'm not one of the experts, but maybe I can help you out by trading you my 2007 for your 2008 |

http://www.tunerpro.net/downloadApp.htm The free version works. You will need to get the XDF files for it from ECMspy.com A quick guide on how to get it working: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=32777&post=1763549#POST1763549 (Message edited by Froggy on June 06, 2011) |
