Author Message   Chrisrogers3 Posted on Wednesday, June 01, 2011 - 06:53 pm:        OK so... I was riding my Uly and was leaned over in a corner and the engine cut out on me. I stood the bike back up and everything came back on. The check engine light was on just long enough for me to see it and then it went away as did all the symptoms. So I thought maybe it was a weird BAS issue and plugged it into the laptop once I got home and Code 53 came up. Code 53 states ECM ROM failure. Anyone know exactly wht this entails? can grounding issues cause this code or is my ECM on the fritz? Also this may or may not be related but the bike has been pinging really bad so I did a TPS reset and it seemed to help, but not solve. If you need a replacement, I got a stock XB12 DDFI2 ECM laying around I can loan you to get you back on the road.   Fltwistygirl Posted on Wednesday, June 01, 2011 - 07:06 pm:        We just experienced the seat/ECM conflict and the ECM got the losing end of the deal. ECM was replaced, relo of new ECM was a quick fix. Only mine would run rough with reduced power, then the power would kick in when leaned over. Threw all kinds of trouble codes too. Turned out to be a cracked ecm. I bought a new one from E.B.R., Toona made me an awesome guard to shield it from being squashed by the seat. (just a simple aluminum plate screwed into the spacer block, covering the ecm) Runs great now.   Ratbuell Posted on Wednesday, June 01, 2011 - 08:52 pm:        Chris - where are you physically?
