What is the part number for the newer seam-free tall seat, all black? Thanks. |

Chromedome, Thanks. I've had it with those seams and hopefully the seam-less is better. By the way, who'd you order it from and how much was it? Thanks. |

Let us know how you like the seat, compared to the stock low? I would like to improve mine... |

Electraglider_1997 I ordered from Chicago, but could not recommend them due to the wait time was months. I believe I paid around $111.00 total with shipping costs. This thread may help you: http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142838/ 621740.html?1300755054 |

Nose2wind Will do. Still have not made it out on it yet due to rain and just being too darn busy. |

Chrome, I ordered mine from Dillon Brothers here in Omaha, NE. Part number on the box it came in is N0025.1AKFYW SEAT,FULL,STANDARD,BLACK I paid $111 plus tax. Just put it on and it fits nice and tight. Haven't tried it on the road yet. I'm hoping it feels better without the seams because I'm pretty sure those seams were taking away from the comfort of that original tall from day one. |

Does anyone know if they make this seat with the orange back half? |

I was told by someone at Hal's parts dept. that they only can get the all black, no black/orange. -J5 |

My boy has a tall all black seat on his Orange ULY bike. Looks better than the 1/2 orange seat, much better. That 1/2 orange seat is hideous (did I say that out loud?). |

Thanks to this thread I just ordered one myself...I have an '06 version but the seams really cut into my legs after a few hours. We'll see how this one works out. 109.65 to my door from Chicago HD. |

I'm sure this has been answered a thousand times but how does this seat compare in height to the stock '08 seat? TIA. Tipsy |

The height seems to be the exact same as far as I can tell. Just a different cover. My son and I rode 60 miles yesterday and at the 1/2 way point we traded seats since we both ride ULYs. In fact, it is still on his bike but it only takes a minute to change it over. Anyways, the look is different and the seat certainly looks less sun bleached since it is brand new but the actual comfort improvement if any is probably a toss up. I was wearing blue jeans which to me aren't very comfortable on a motorcycle so at this point I wouldn't base whether to spring for a new tall seat on what I say. A month from now I might be singing its praises or hating it, who knows. For now I'll be holding on to my old tall seat, just in case. The new seat is better looking for sure. |

Here is a pic of my 08 XT stock seat in front and the new 06 tall seat in back. Definitely a difference of at least 1 1/4" in height for the rider. The passenger seat seems to be almost identical to the stock seat. Stock 08 XT seat in front, new 06 tall seat in rear:
