Went over to Dillon Brother's Motorsports and sat on a new both new Triumph 800s. Considering that the fuel tanks were probably empty they sure seemed top heavy to both my son and I. Nice looking for sure but I'll not be sad that I don't have one. Looks BMWish. Buell accomplished two things with the oil in the swingarm. He made room for an underslung exhaust and he put that muffler weight in the correct spot. |

The modern Trumpets are not all THAT and I am a Brit. I tried a 955 triple they say is like a four/twin engine "sales pitch" bike. It was not for me. The Rocket 3 is another matter though. A very mad bike, not that well built and costs some. |

I have ridden one of these and it is very capable. Felt very light and nimble. The engine is much like the 995. Not the low end grunt of the Uly. |

I test rode a Tiger 800 XC yesterday and loved it. Very smooth and powerful engine. Wheelbase is longer than a Uly which makes it more GS like. Seat is worse thing about it. Even though it is adjustable, it is narrow and very soft. With a 21" front tire, I imagine it would be more off road worthy. |
