So I have a grand total of 1800 miles on the odometer now and I am having my first serious problem with my Ully: I just got home after picking up my wife at work and as I am pulling into the garage I notices my right puck is missing!! WTF!!! Has that happened to anyone else before? I pulled on the left one and it just came off with minimal effort... Wondering if they even work at this point.. If feels that if the bike was to slide on them they would just come clean off... |

They work, I can tell you that from first hand experience. It did come off, but did it's job first, thats the key. Look at my thread for tips on putting it back on: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/627701.html?1303513791 |

You bought your bike used right? Odds are the previous owner took them off and put them back on. Properly installed pucks take effort to come off, and usually will leave chucks of adhesive on the frame. If yours came off clean I suspect they were installed half ass by someone. |

The bike had 1000 miles when I got it and bone stock, I have a hard time believing he did that. I am guessing the reason it came off is because for the last couple of days I've been picking my wife from work in DC = sitting in traffic = frame getting really warm = glue getting soft = puck falling off. Whatever it is, I'll reinstall a fresh set. |

Believe me, if heat is all it took to make them fall off, ALL of them would have fallen off by now. Like Froggy says, if they're put on properly they are VERY hard to get off. You're taking the right tact, and I doubt you'll have any further problems. |

The pucks work amazingly well. I've seen a couple really nasty crashes (one where the forks snapped clean off the bike). The left puck was hanging to the bike by a couple strings of adhesive but the frame was saved. You definitely want to get those things glued back on....... |
