I am about to buy some stands for my Ully, I always get the ones that lift the bike from the triple clamp so I can remove the forks if I need to. Also debating if I should just get a bike lift since this bike can be jacked up... What would you suggest with budget in mind? |

American Sport Bike sells the PitBull stands that work for the Uly. A bit pricey, but they are top notch and will out last the bike. Make sure you get the tree lift front stand (like you wanted), as the Buell has uneven forks, it makes wheel changes difficult with fork stands. T-Rex is also a good brand that is a bit more affordable, but the build quality isn't as great as the PitBull. I personally wouldn't bother with the jack, they take longer to setup and lift the bike, then you need to use straps to prevent it from falling off, then you have to hope that your muffler cradle bracket doesn't break. Funny thing, I was at a trackday this weekend, at least 95% of the bikes that were on stands were using PitBulls. |

I have the TRex front stand and have never had a problem with it. My Uly spent a couple of weeks on it while waiting for parts last year. Check them out on ebay |

The Pit bull 1125 rear stand works great for the Uly rear..much better than a standard stand because of the steep swingarm angle. |

what about the back, is there any way to install spools? That rounded steep swingarm looks like a disaster waiting to happen... |

How is it a disaster? I've been using them for years without issue, unlike multiple people that have had bike fall off muffler lifts. |

Those stands are looking as stable as it can be, but pitbull stands are just too expansive. I was thinking of "normal" back stands that have a single, wide rubber holder not being too stable on that swingarm. I guess I could always fabricate something that uses the pitbull concept. |

I have a Handy Lift. The thing rocks for all bikes! I will never work off the floor on a bike again...(unless I really have to). Check it out. I paid $750 for mine but it is a long term investment and worth every penny |

The Pitbull stands are expensive but there made in the USA and when you call them, they actually pick up the phone. Great company and great customer service. |

I bought front and rear Pit Bull stands for the Uly from Al a couple years ago. Couldn't be happier. The 1125/Uly rear stand has tabs designed to keep the swingarm from sliding off the stand. I also have an extra pin for the front stand that fits my X1, and a center stand that lifts it from the footpegs (also from Al) The stands and doing business with American Sport Bike are both highly recommended. |

I think it looks very stable. It would be very hard to get those blocks to rotate. |

The blocks themselves are fine, its just that the muffler is curved, and the bike can easily rotate and fall off. Thats why he has the tiedown strap going to around the bike to the jack. |

I just tip it over a little on the kik stand and slide an 8x8 with a 4x4 on top of it under the appropriate jack point. This leaves me more money for beer and tires. |

There's tie straps going up to the seat rails. It's very secure and you can raise it up and down so you don't have to lift the tire. I did have to buy cheap beer for a while to pay for that jack. |

I use my cheap ($59 special) stands that I use on my firebolt for racing. (Message edited by Paint shaker on April 23, 2011) |
