I am looking for the info on the clock, odometer... There is a clock, a continuous od, 1 or 2 trip and one with a F. I dont have a owners manual and read the service manual but cant find any info. The previous owner told me but I cant remember what the numbers were. |

Clock - Tell you what time it is Odometer - Tell you how far your bike has driven Tripometers - Tell you how far you have driven since it was reset. Fuel Triopmeter - Tells you how far you have driven since the gas light came on. Usually a good idea to fill up then. |

For setting the clock push and hold both buttons until it flashes. Then the right button sets the minutes and the left the hours, push and hold both buttons again when set. Trip one I use for fuel tank to fuel tank. Set to 0 on fill up to gage how far I can get and calculate mileage. Trip two I set for my actual trip. Set to 0 when leaving in the morning to check how far I have gone. Goes back to 0 at 1000 miles. F comes into play when your low fuel warning light comes on. It lets you track distance to empty so that the next time it comes on you know how far you can actually go. Being real conservative 28 miles can be a stretch. Consider 15 to 20 safe. Each of these reset to 0 by pushing and holding the right button. The left one changes between which ones you want displayed. |

Fuel resets itself after you've added gas. |

And the buttons are R (Reset) and M (Mode). Hit M to scroll through displays. When you're on one that you want to reset, push and hold R until it resets (trip odometer, for example). And yes, "Trip F" will automatically come on when your low fuel light comes on, because you don't always see exactly when the light comes on. Beats looking down and wondering "oh $hit...how long's that thing been lit?". I tend to set trip A for tank-by-tank, and that's my default display for riding. Trip B, I use for maintenance interval...although a 5k interval is pretty easy to remember, even for a braindamaged moron like me |
