Well, I was finally able to take the XT for a ride tonight, first time since the middle of last September. Man, did it feel good! I had to put the bike away early last year due to some surgery, which required me to stay off the bike for at least 3 months. Since I live in MN, that ended my season. The bike fired right up as if it had not been setting at all and ran great! It settled right down to that semi-loping idle that only a Buell owner could love. Temp was 53 degrees F but it felt great! Trust me, there's a grin in that helmet! Me and my XT

Glad you're healed up and back in the saddle. 53 sounds nice and warm compared to the way it's been up to now. Did you have those windshield brackets on last year or are those new? |

I put the windshield brackets on last year after having only ridden about 300 miles without. For those unfamiliar with the brackets, these are from Palmer Products. They really work for me and I would say they are one of the best mods I have done to my bike so far. The 06 tall seat also was money well spent. Brackets installed:
