Just snagged this from a discussion on the 1125 board: I guess this means that a white 2010 XB12XP is the rarest Buell ever, with only 2 being built. (Technically, that's the same quantity as the first Buell, the RW750.) It's a freaking shame they didn't keep building Uly's up until the day they closed the plant. Sure wish I'd bought one. |

So does that mean because I was able to snag a Sunfire Yellow X that I'm a 2.2%er? |

Yes, but it also means you have too many Buells and you should take pity on a fellow Badwebber who's 07 Uly's engine is FUBAR and sell it to him at a substantial discount. |

Thanks Froggy, but I'm riding right now, on my 1983 Honda Ascot VT500FT. Water cooled V-twin, shaft drive, 6 speed, flat tracker styling. It's not a bad ride, but the suspension is about 20 light years behind the Uly (rough pavement on the interstate will bounce me off the seat) and I'm REALLY missing those "missing" 700 cc and 45 HP. |

Sorry Hugh, wish I could help. However, one of those bikes is my wife's. I would be in deep trouble if I sold hers and ain't selling mine. |

Ken- See this thread: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/617384.html?1300384229 Short story- it developed a knock while out riding moderately. Partial engine tear-down reveals a bad front connecting rod/crank bearing and scored front and rear cylinders and pistons. Oiling system fine, oil level fine. Clueless as to cause. About a 9.9 on the suck-o-meter. |

Blast runs again, you lost a perfect opportunity to buy a not running bike, dump Seafoam in the tank, then make off like a bandit. Now to figure out why it smells like an oil furnace... |

That's one ugly chart. 63% of Buell's production was Blasts, according to that. Wow. So, HD forced Buell to apply almost two thirds of its production to bikes they could use to train pirate wanna-bes, and then decided the business wasn't profitable? Really? That's a bit like forcing a restaurant to feature limburger lutefisk as a daily feature, and accusing the manager of incompetence when it made no money. Geeze |

Remember, the Blast was sold at a loss too due to HD charging Buell a ton for the motor. It was actually cheaper for Erik to go to a dealer, buy the Blast motor at the parts counter than to take one off the assembly line. Also, the Blast was the most produced Buell model ever. Also to note, the number above are for domestic bikes only. Overseas bikes make up about half of Buell's production, and they don't get the Blast outside the US, so the Blast makes up probably 25-30% of total production for a given year. |

Holy crap, I know where one of those white XPs are sitting. Friend of mine is a dealer and had two, one white '09, one white '10. Guess which one he sold me and which one he kept for himself..... Damn! |

It's interesting for me to get some confirmation that my 2010 XT is one of 25 domestic models (one of the twelve Midnight Black). Any idea where this information originated? |

The source is the factory. |
