I didn't get it, Hugh. I don't understand. I've received some from others. I remember Froggy posting something about a PM problem, I think. I'll try and contact him. Thanks. |

Mike- PM's go to the e-mail address you have in your profile. You might check to make sure your spam-blocker isn't blocking them. |

Hugh, I check that regularly but for some odd reason they aren't getting there. I sent another PM with my email address. Thanks. |

OK- I'll check when I get home and re-re-send as required. Just to clarify- you PM'ed, it came to my e-mail "in" box, and I replied to your e-mail address via my e-mail. I'm sure there's a big pile of lost electrons somewhere out there in cyberspace. |

Buellerxt, I replied to your PM, but it got blocked by your spam filter. I got this automatic reply
quote:This is an automatic reply from <snip>. I apologize for this automatic reply to your email. To control spam, I now allow incoming messages only from senders I have in my address book. If you would like to be added to my address book, please fill out the short request form (see link below). Once I recognize you, I will receive your original message in my inbox. You do not need to resend your message. I apologize for this one-time inconvenience. Click the link below to fill out the request: <snip>
Personally I recommend you disable it, as it will prevent you from getting any type of automated email whether its a PM or a order confirmation from an online store. |

Not necessarily so, Froggy. I got your PM and I get online store emails all of the time. The spam sends out that message, which is a drag, but the messages are held in the spam, which I check often. I've gotten other PM's from folks on the forum as well. Maybe because Hugh and I are both Earthlink, I don't know, but he got mine! Anyway, thanks for the help. I sent my email address to Hugh earlier. Ths. |

Mike- I just sent you a "fresh" e-mail (I didn't hit "reply") to see if that makes any difference. Let me know if it doesn't show up. |

Did you check your email client's rear bearings? Just a thought. |

Mike- OK, I just sent a PM to you via the PM link in your profile. Theoretically, that goes to the same e-mail address I've been trying to e-mail directly, but maybe it'll work this time. If that doesn't work, you definitely need to check your rear bearings. |

BTW- after a long ride Saturday, I noticed that post-conversion, my bike was suffering from "seat bottom contact with ECM plug", something that had never been a problem with the 07 ECM. I read through the various threads here about it and wound up bending a piece of 1/8" x 1" steel into a protector. I fastened mine to one of the screw holes where the TPS was formerly mounted. From there, it bends up and then forward; the other end rests on the plastic rub block at the front of the ECM. It goes right over the top of the forward/upper ECM connector, and seems to protect it well so far. |

I've bended the rear support (battery tray) and filed down a little bit the front plastic support for compensate the lean angle and correct seating. The ECM is now at the rear part 8 mm (5/16") lower then before. Due the different angle it's also about 2 mm lower at the front.

Garrcano- That looks like a simple fix for the issue. BTW- has anyone got any clue what the purpose of all the various indentations in the bottom of the seat (at least the 07 standard seat) is? There doesn't seem to be any correspondence between the stuff mounted under the seat and the actual indentations. Someone went to the trouble to provide clearance for a bunch of stuff that apparently isn't there. You have to wonder why they did NOT leave ample clearance for the ECM and plugs! |
