umm... well... I read the website addy off the bag and lookie what I found... My Tech Accessories The english site is still under construction... but those bags look familiar, seems as though I've seen them somewhere. They are similar to the bags on Touratech's site. Edit to add; They also look similar to the Trax bags from SW Motech (Message edited by blugorilla on November 29, 2010) |

Looks like the basic kit: 2 bags and mounts is around 1339.00. I would think shipping not included. |

I'm not a fan of bags with separate corner pieces. I've heard way to many stories about them starting to leak. But they do look good. |

I just like how far the market for ADV type bikes has come. I can remember when the only option was a set of custom ordered units from Al Jesse (replete with wait time for the construction of them), but only if you owned a B-mer. IIRC, the KLR was on the list of bikes he was considering making them for but, (gasp), they were ~$500 for the set. I went with a pair of Pelican 1550's instead, discouraged by the wait and possibility he might not build them for the KLR. That I can pick up a Twisted Throttle catalog and find a section(!) on alum. panniers just makes me smile, even if I'm not in the market for them. I remember when I was and there were no catalogs or a dozen cottage industry types selling something similar online via ADVrider or fleabay. I like having my cake and being able to eat it too. Sorry, just had to reminisce for a moment. |
