If anyone's still in the market, I noticed yesterday that one of the three Buell dealerships in SC lists 4 2009 XB12XP's in stock according to their website. They're asking $8995 each. These bikes do NOT show up on the "bike finder" at www.buell.com. |

be sure before anyone makes a decision to purchase the warranty end date is verified. The police Uly's were put into service when they were shipped to the dealers. This has been verified over and over by me because I have a 2009 XB12XP with no warranty. |

Yep, that XP info is SPOT ON. My warranty expired a year sooner then I had expected. Luckily I have a fantastic dealer that made it right. |

I'll bet Blasterd is right about these bikes and that's why they don't show up at buell.com. |

The dealer I bought my bike from told me to f*** off since I got a good deal when I bought it I could take the money I saved and buy an extended warranty. HD told me they could not extend my warranty and I was basically out of luck unless I wanted to purchase an extended warranty. It was a big mess and I talked to everyone possible to try to get some resolve but all I ran into was walls. The dealer I bought the bike from is a real POS especially the owner who was the most rude of all. This incident along with the recent ineptness at my servicing dealer in regards to my effort to try to get some issues taken care of before my warranty ran out is why I will NEVER, NEVER set foot in a Harley dealership EVER again. I will NEVER buy a Harley product again, EVER. As I said before, please verify the warranty expiration date before purchasing the XP, great bike but another opportunity for Harley to take a dump on Buell owners. |

Harley didn't do that to you Blasterd, it was, as you stated the ineptness, and possible misrepresentation by the dealer. H-D shouldn't be held responsible, and/or blamed for the dealer mis-representing the facts. Find a different dealer that will not lie to you and has a better customer service approach.. there are plenty out there that do. I'm not trying to cause anything here, but you seem to be jaded against all dealers, and the motor company, over the actions of one or two dealers. Sounds like a dealer problem to me, too. My dealer bends over backwards to help Buell owners. When my 09XP rear wheel bearing failed at 6800 miles he got H-D to replace it with a 10 wheel even though most dealers just replace in kind. Whenever I go there he has at least 2 or 3 other Buells in for service and several of the guys there ride Buells themselves. On the other hand, when I tried to get service at the dealer where I bought my first Buell I got a run-around so I don't patronize them any more. I'm still angry with some decisions that H-D has made but there are some dealers out there that offer a glimmer of hope for The Motor Company. |

No offense taken guys and my biggest issue IS with the dealer that I bought my bike from that lied to me when I asked before I signed the papers if it had a full 2 year warranty or not. There are only a few Badwebers that know the whole story and it's water under the bridge now because I am glad the warranty is gone so I don't have to deal with another dealer. As far as HD, they asked me to keep them posted as to my dealings with the dealer in regards to "making it right" and they would work with me to make it right but when things didn't work out for me with the dealer, they said there is nothing they could do for me as well. At least they were nice, the manager of the dealer was a total a**hole. I offered to pay 1/2 toward an extended warranty to cover what should have been a factory warranty but they (the dealer and HD) still refused and left me in the cold. Yes I got an awesome deal on it but I was mislead by a bad dealer and not supported by HD. This dealer is, or was a sponser here not really sure and don't care. My issue with my servicing dealer is they are just getting inept when it comes to repairing Buell motorcycles anymore. Could not load a comfort kit reflash in 3 tries, could not find the source of a major vibration at 3000rpms and told me it was the TPS that needed resetting but on my 98 mile ride home the problem reared its ugly head on I-75 when my front muffler strap broke. I had a loose header and that was what was rattling. The latest was taking it there for some pushrod base gaskets and rocker cover gaskets which were leaking and they had it for over 2 weeks and didn't replace them, just pressure washed the oil off and told me they retorqued the bolts..Well my warranty just ran out 3 weeks later and the gaskets are leaking again. I can go on but I have just had my fill of dealing with HD on both levels.... Please don't think all of that ruins my enthusiasm for Buell motorcycles or Badweb, I love them both and I have met some great people over the years. I am going on 11 years on Badweb and riding Buell motorcycles but I just don't care about HD anymore and won't buy another HD anymore. I have bought 1 used Buell from someone here on Badweb and 3 new Buells from 3 different dealers and 2 of them were rotten, 1 was ok. I also owned one Sportster and couldn't wait to sell it. Ken |

Thanks for the information shared here reference warranty for the xp. It got me to look into my personal situation. Only due to the character of the GM at HD of Atlanta do I have a warranty now. This is an issue with anyone purchasing a xp. I called the SC dealer who has the xp's listed in this post. There are other issues with these bikes besides warranty. All of them were modified and paint changed for a movie that never was and not in a good way. All police equipment will be removed before bikes are sold. |

So they were movie props? What movie didn't get made? I'd at least want all the lights thrown in the top case. They are part of the machine even if you can't ride around with them on. Shame they only put stock photos up and not actual bike/condition. |

Glad you were able to get your warranty issue resolved Timbo, it proves there are some good dealers left out there. Good info in the XP's available, thank's for doing everyone a favor and calling the dealer on the others.. |
