Vern we all know you're just filling mason jars with vodka!! I have a bottle of RAIN vodka from Ken/Tenn? It comes from somewhere in them there hills! Anyway it says right on the bottle that it's made from white corn. Hey, that's not vodka!!! |

Of course, you could drink it all before you ride off. The bike would be lighter, but for some reason the handling might suck just the same. |

Well...if you drink *while* you drive, you aren't drunk til you get where you're going! (hic) |

This thread reminds me of a story a buddy of mine told a couple of years ago. He works for a welding supply outfit. One of the gases they sell is nitrous oxide. They had a driver come back after a delivery one day, and someone noticed he had rigged a hose from the bed of the truck to the cab to one of the gas bottles in the back. Turns out it was the nitrous oxide! His rig allowed him to snort nitrous while he was driving. Let's see, a truckload of acetylene, oxygen, nitrous oxide, and who knows what else, being driven by a guy that's high as a kite. What could go wrong? Hopefully nobody's tried that with a Uly. |

No Hugh, I haul the oxygen, argon, and propane bottles for my shop in my truck. Those bottles are quite heavy regardless of how much nitrous one would snort. However I could see Joe riding around with a 5/16 polyvinyl hose coming from his side bag into his helmet, who knows what refreshment he might be slurping on! |

I read somewhere that Virginia doesn't have an open container law, so as long as you're not impaired, you can sip your Clipper City brew while cruising down the road. Anyone know about this before I start Googlin'? |

Don't know about the law but I'd say if you make a practice of that a ticket is the least of your worries |

Vern - beer foams too much, especially in a hydration pack or thru a straw/hose. Don't even TRY to tell me you've never done a beer bong.... Whisky, however...goes through a straw just fine. I've heard. |

Oh yeah, Yuengling is some good stuff! But around here, most stores stock it in bottles. Good taste in glass versus tin...but not as happy bouncing around a saddlebag |

When I go to Buelltoberfest, getting to enjoy a Yuengling is a treat since I can't get it here. Lord Chesterfield is even better to me but not as easy to find. It's made by Yuengling and it's a littler hoppier. One nice thing is if I can't buy it, I just brew it!!

I transported two cases of the Yuengling bottles from Connecticut to Michigan in a duffel bag and 1125R saddle bags. They all made it there fine except for one which broke from being crushed under the weight of everything else. (Message edited by froggy on November 25, 2010) |

Maybe that's the trick, Froggy...carry beer, and you don't drop the bike! |

I didn't know Yuengling came in a can. I just assumed it was only in a bottle. I have no cases on my bike currently, but when I am going somewhere, and I want beer, I just buy a thirty pack of whatever suits my fancy at the moment, put it on the air cover, try and squeeze my elbows together, to balance the beer. In addition, I try usually unsuccessfully to get my knees up to support it from underneath, but my legs are too short, so I have to put my chin on the beer when I shift, or brake. Makes the beer taste better knowing how hard I had to work to get it there! Druelly (Message edited by Druelly on November 25, 2010) |

I toted two twelve packs of Yuengling to Daytona last March to share with my fellow Buell infield campers(see picture above), only to find out they make the stuff in Tampa now. Good thing those Journey bags are big! I still had room for three days of clothes and what not for camping, I carry my tent and sleeping bag across the pilon. |

Beaver Run near Pittsburgh Penn. My partner races there one week and then goes to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix the next. Here is a shot of him ahead of the overall winner of Targa Newfoundland. They are friends and were putting on a show since we didn't have our race engine finished and I cobbled together 3 different engines to make a decent runner. It ran pretty good but not enough to actually beat this guy.

Hey Greg, would that shot be turn 2? I smacked my knee on the curbing during one track day that I ran there. Turn 6 (blind hill crest one on the back) still gives me the willies. |

They are coming into turn 1. They just crossed the start/finish. I have never driven there but I've seen enough in car video to know where you're talking about! I taught my partner well, if you don't look at the concrete, (stone walls, trees etc.), they don't exist!! |

2002 is IRS, right? I recall playing with one in high school. A gal owned it - pin-on 'glass hood and decklid, Alpina widebody kit, Webers, either Enkei or Kosei wide wheels and low profile tires. Badass little car, especially for a non-Tii. Running a "timed lap" around the DC beltway one late night/early morning (we got bored easily...I think our best Cannonball Lap was around 38 minutes; its amazing any of us survived HS), I was in the passenger seat and watched a wheel, hub, control arm and halfshaft pass us on the inside. Whoooops, heheh. We never did figure out which of us forgot to tighten what bolt, leading to that near-catastrophic failure....but she was a helluva driver, kept us out of the ditch and out of the jersey wall. |

What was her name? I'm in the BMW car club and I have met one of the past presidents of the National Capital Chapter and she was one helluva driver. Haven't heard about her in years but she sounds like the same person! I gave her a ride on a BMW K1 in St. Louis. Hit an intersection going up hill at speed. When we reached the lights the road went flat but we went air borne! As soon as we landed we hit the hill again. She was a real trooper, wanted to go do it again!! |

I don't think she was in the club, or an officer...we were just in HS, after all...but her name is Eli. She lives in Cali now, her and her hubby have switched to BMW 2-wheelers now. I see her on facebook now and then, but haven't laid eyes on the girl in probably fifteen years... |

Nittanyxt, I just realized you were talking about the Beaver Run picture and you would be correct, that is turn two at Beaver Run. I thought you were talking about the second picture in Schenley Park and then realized that you're probably not racing there on a bike! Ratbuell, you're right, not the same girl but it was worth a shot. I had my own 2002 for 14 years. 145HP, dual sidedraft webers, big brakes and tires. We painted the race car the same color so we could use body parts off of mine if need be. So far the front nose, left fender and roof were donated by my old sled. |
