OK, so I bought a set (F/R) of bearings for a spare set of wheels I have. .02A8B part numbers. The rears are the same as I have in the bike now - black seals. The fronts...are different. BLUE seals, and the inner race is wider than the outer race (i.e. if you lay the bearing flat on the table, the inner race sticks up like a top-hat). Mis-packaged? |

I'd guess yes... I have a set of fronts with the same part number.. they have black seals and races are not like you describe. |

E0004. Rears are E0005. Looking at that pic...they look similar. Took 'em back to the dealer today with my "right" set; they're going to get in touch with SPOC tomorrow and find out wassup. My guess is "wrong label", nothing major. Overall, though...side by side, the blue ones are larger diameter OD, and thinner, than the correct ones. Maybe I should have 'em keep them, and buy them as spare head bearings? Can't hurt to have spares, I suppose... |

Supposedly they're a proprietary bearing for Buell and not as easily subbed by aftermarket like the wheel bearings. Bird in the hand, you know. |
