Onward with the mods... I see quite a few people have replaced the stock ECM with a racing ECM. First question, which ECM would I use? Second, what are some of the pros and cons you've noticed? Third, What has been the effect of overall on the road mileage? I know after I chipped my truck I actually got better mileage while on the open road and while towing but total shite around town... same thing? |

The one for your bike.

Pros - Smoother running, better acceleration, better low RPM manners, improved fuel economy, more that I can't think of. Cons - None.

My 1125R and CR both gained about 5mpg, I can't remember my improvement on the XB12, but I will say I have gotten 75mpg on it without trying, and normally average in the 60's. |

Thanks Froggy... I can always count on your input.. LoL. Okay.. I'm on an 06 Uly.. any recommendations on an ECM and where can I find one? Is it the ECM for any XB12 model bike? I would definately like the mpg gain.. I'm averaging about 45-50 mpg on long hauls. A 10 mpg gain would make my day! |
