I got Tourmaster Venture pants about a month ago. With the quilted lining removed they fit well over my work pants or jeans and are warm enough for my 9 mile commute to work at 28 deg F. I rode on very wet roads right after a rain and my pants didn't get wet at all.

FirstGear HT overpants are my choice for cool to cold weather and FirstGear HT-AIR overpants for the warm to hot weather. Weather / rain proof and have the proper fit for use over jeans or shorts.

I find jeans too bulky & uncomfortable. I wear nylon shorts in hot weather, running pants in moderate temps & polar fleece in cold. Always covered by FirstGear TPG Pants / Jacket. I dont generally use the liner - if it's that cold here - usually means ice / snow - so bike stays in garage.

I have the Tourmaster Venture air pants and they work geat year round. from 30s up to 100s. With the way the Blast is designed, my legs funnel the air right to my crotch. I stick an extra ski hat down there to keep everything warm. Also, with the rain liners in place, i have to take my boots off to take the pants off, but with out the liners the zipper comes up far enough i can slide the pants off.

I would have bought the flex if I had researched better because they have an additional layer that zips to the out side of the pants to help exted the temp range and for when you don't want the rain liner.

I have the Hein Gerike hi and dri. They are probably 10 years old but still work well. I don't know if they still sell them but they are warm and have a removable liner. It's nice to be able to keep on riding in the rain without stopping to put on rain gear.

+1 on the Olympias...my wife says they make me look hot. Hey, whatever it takes.

They are incredibly warm. I use Olympia's mesh version of the pants until about 50 degrees.

Hmm, Olympia textile, $500 MSRP for the full suit - Transit Leather, $1,500 for full suit. Not a difficult decision for me.
