Burt Munro weekend is on here at the end of month,this is held in Invercagill,South Island ,New Zealand, this is the birth place of Burt,The tribute to him is celebrated over 3 days with beach racing at Oreti on friday,speedway on saturday and street racing on sunday. A must do weekend if you are a burt munro fan.  | ||

I had a chance to go to Bonneville last month and see the World Finals. Driving ALL that way (in my case from Salt Lake City) and then MILES out on the salt to watch them run really makes you appreciate the magnitude of what he did, coming from half-way around the world. BIG brass ones... |
