Hopefully someone will support him cause he really deserves to be able to build his bikes. It really sux that it sounds like Harley is being so difficult in retaining possesion of the Buell name and a lot of Erik's patents/ideas. If they don't have interest in supporting/building Buells' and it would seem like they don't, since they're the ones that pulled the plug on Erik, they should just let go and let Erik have full rights. Not gonna hold my breath for that to happen though. Sure would be nice to see a new Uly with the rotax motor on a mass production scale. |

Yah, but let's say he gets started with some new offerings next year. As much as I would like to have the first model year of his new creations, it will probably be a racy-type sportbike like the 1125r or Barracuda...not something I really want. I'd want a Uly-type adventurer or a more edgy CR-type streetfighter, and I doubt those are in his plans for quite awhile. Oh well, I can wait - just not TOO long...a 2012 Multistrada could be on the horizon for me. |

Multistrada is just way to complicated a bike for my tastes. I really wonder if people that buy a bike will ever change out of the high power mode. I don't think that I would. I govern the power with the throttle. (Message edited by electraglider_1997 on October 15, 2010) |

I sent Erik Buell Racing an email asking about their plans for an adventure-sportbike to replace my Uly......a 1190 Ulysses if you will, and this was their response: "We appreciate the kind words of support, Jerry. Unfortunately it will be some time before we produce anything like a Ulysses. This is a tiny company, half the size of Bimota right now... Thank you, Customer Support Erik Buell Racing"} |

The KEY thing is that you got an honest response. Try writing Honda, Suzuki or Harley-Davidson. This is the kind of company I've dreamed of. I can't wait to see AMERICAN MADE mean "Best in the World" . . . AGAIN. |

Erik seems to have the virtues. Capital will respond. When Erik and his team show the new company making MONEY, then capital will respond. I recommend that IF you seriously want to see the new company succeed, you save your money and buy one of these new bikes ASAP. Capital will respond. Put bags on it and "will" it into a Uly. Capital will respond. The key is profits and demand. In ancient Greek mythology, who and or what made it "back" ??? |
