I just stopped by a dealership to get get my new fan logic after installing the comfort kit from American Sport Bike. Apparently, the only flash available is the one I have, which is certainly not the comfort kit reflash. Is there no reflash for 06's? If that is the case, is anyone familiar with what eeprom changes would be necessary to as best as possible simulate the comfort kit reflash? Thanks, Phil |

It cannot be done on a DDFI2 bike, the ECM does not have the parameters. |

You are correct. '08-up are the only ones that get a "comfort kit flash". Although...if you get in touch with Michael at Erik Buell Racing, he can set you up with one HELL of an ECM. (DAMHIK - I also own an '06 with comfort kit...and and Erik Buell Racing ECM) |

My only problem is that I'm running an Axtell 88" kit, so a normal ECM will not work for me :P I'll just have to find a way to drop the starting temps for the fan in the eeprom. |

If you are still using a DDFI2 ECM you can just use ECMspy and adjust the fan temperatures as needed. |

Just changed the fan to run all the time, as I'm in AZ I think it is pretty necessary. I have taken 2 30 minute rides in mixed stop and go traffic and highway. I did NOT modify the key off fan running, and about 5 seconds after each trip the fan shut off. Also, under the seat used to melt the glue holding on an accessory plug splitter. It was literally hot enough to cook stuff under the seat. Now, it is just about ambient temps. I need to do some 80mph plus riding for 30 miles or more to see if skip spark is fixed, but the results so far are VERY promising. This thing is running MUCH cooler. Keep in mind this is an 88" engine, ceramic coated headers, and heat shield installed on the inside of the frame. Before the Comfort Kit and after the Kit plus changing the fan settings, the heat is just completely different. If this fixes my skip spark, I will certainly relay that info. Phil |
