Does anybody have the Pelican iM2600 cases mounted? Whats your experience? Twisted throttle is offering a real neat setup for a decent price, you have to provide your own racks. http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/5 578/614/ Since I have decided to keep driving my Uly till the parts run out I want to add some side cases and rack that are tough enough for the long haul. Also looked at the basic alu boxes here: http://www.motorradalukoffer.de/ What sturdy cases/rack do you have mounted? |

Ive got a set of side cases for my klr 650 had them for about a month and like them for their construction. Seem totally bullet proof I got mine from caribou cases pellican also has a top loader case. They are narrow conpared to uly cases will not hold a helmet but seems like a bomb proof case. You might give Roger Pioszak at caribou cases a call he is a rider and might be he helpful. Having said all that caribou did not, at the time, have a rack system for the buell. |

The very well made racks and cases from Caribou Cases would have been my first choice, but according to Roger at Caribou they stopped making the racks for the Ulysses. Bummer!! This is why I started looking at other Companies products. |

The Pelican 1440 top loaders will require you to remove the hand rails/Triple Tail in order to be able to open the tops for access. I also found them to be too big for the Uly as they caused handling problems in the wind at speeds over 65 mph. The 1430's are smaller and make nice cases for around town. I settled on the Gobi's and they've been good for my needs. Also fit right on with no modifications other than the left case becomes the right case, right case to left side, which is fine if you're not using the water spigots. |
