Well I was referred to a mechanic that is supposedly a buell and Sportster guru. He said that he had a very similar problem on his HD Sturgis which turned out to be Plugs that were too short therefore ran too hot in the engine. He changed them for a longer spark plug that ran colder in the engine and no more loss of power, hesitation, or skipping. I think he mentioned that this was causing the plugs not to spark, and would cause backfires after re-starting after a stall. Don't want to give anybody any false hopes but perhaps all the Uly needs are some plugs that run colder in the motor?? I don't know but I thought I would share his comments. |
