Who's got one and which one did you order?? I'm thinking the dualsport to cover the entire seat, but might do a smaller version just for the rider (me). http://www.alaskaleatheronline.com/servlet/the-Del uxe/Categories What do you think?? |

I have the small rally special that covers just the driver's seat. Fits good covering just the driver's seat, feels good as well. http://www.alaskaleatheronline.com/servlet/the-5/S mall-Buttpad--dsh--Rally/Detail I got it on sale, plus the ADVRider discount, so around 12 bucks plus shipping. |

Bought separate sheepskin pads for both rider and passenger before Homecoming. Bought standard full-fur pads, natural color. They're quality products and better than the stock seat alone, but not the miracle we were hoping for. I think I'm headed for a custom gel seat. Can't remember what I bought at the moment, but they have pad models they recommend for the Uly; they're listed in the HD section on the website. (Message edited by balloyd66 on August 17, 2010) |

The Uly listing is on this page: http://www.alaskaleatheronline.com/servlet/the-tem plate/harleydavidson/Page They recommend the Pillion Type 1 for the front of the seat and the Pillion Type 2 for the back. That's what I bought, and they're nice, but I pretty much agree with Badalloyd66's comments. They're a definite improvement, but not a miracle. I've had mine for a couple of years now, though I've mainly used the rider sheepskin, and it's held up well. |

I bought one for the trip I just completed to the Canadian Maritimes, Northern New England and the Finger Lakes region of New York. I think it helped with the heat a little, but the cheap inflatable seat pad I bought from J.C.Whitney a few years ago is more comfortable and insulates from the heat better. The Alaska pad is quite slippery too, I kept sliding up into the tank. When you stand up the front folds back from the wind and you have to readjust it. I rigged up a loop that I looped over my tankbag strap, but the corners still folded back. Overall I was not impressed. |

I have the Pillion Type 1 also ,i think i got it in long hair, it's kinda flat now .oh and i would consider adding the nose strap ,or you can use a shoelace like me to hold down the front or it will fold up on you if you stand up and stretch while your moving.I love the pad and give it 2 thumbs up. Save some bucks if you're a tiny bit handy. Find a big wooly sheepskin on ebay. Cut it into two pads or one big one. Get brass grommets from your local hardware store (about $5), and get small bungee hooks to hold it down. Voila. |

If you have an Ikea store near you, they have bins full of $25 sheepskins all over the store. It was such a good deal, I didn't even need one and I bought one anyway the first time I went to an Ikea store! |

I've been the full fur and the Alaska Butt Pad route. Hands down, it's in favor of the pad. Using a single short hair and I really like it. It's great in the heat, too. |

I have the short hair black "rally special" in the size they recommend; Pillion Type 1: I like the thing, like they said above, it's very helpful, but not a miracle cure. I went with the optional front strap and highly recommend that too. |

I've used a full pelt for years and it will probably out last me. I like it because I roll it up to use as a pillow or if I get chilly at night in the tent I lay it over my sleeping bag for superior warmth. Love that pelt. If it gets wet then just snap it like a rug to clear it of water. |

Very cool everyone. Thanks for the advice and opinions. I did order and don't expect it to be the do-all-end-all in the seat department, but I know it will help (like most little upgrades). Thanks again! |

I got the natural color so now I have a really cool whitish one with spots. I dig it! They also do an Adventure Rider Discount. I believe you put in ADVrider or something like that. Search ADVRIDER.com, Barb (owner) posts in there frequently. (Message edited by armymedic on August 21, 2010) |

I think I used the code deadsheep. It worked anyway and I saved about 10%. |

Good folks at Alaska. Barb donated several pad to West Fest last month & also supports other rallies. |
