To everyone on this site. Thanks for all the information. I am a new Ulysses owner and had some misgivings with Harley stepping out of the picture. Looks like I will be able to find parts and aftermarket goodies to keep my Uly on the road. Taking the Ulysses to maine nest week. Leaving the Ultra home for this trip. Replaced the stock tire on my XT after flatting two in the space of a month. Should of looked on here sooner...would of saved me some time... So..new tires taller windshield and a set of risers. Also called the dealer and going to have the bearings replaces...mine was made prior to Aug. 08. "more good info from here" Well hope to have a lot of interaction here...many thanks again Anyroad-Anytime |

Neroad' - Welcome, and glad you could join the asylum. It will be a challenge to keep enough parts in the bins as our Ulys age - they'll be needing more, not less of 'em. We have a generous, experienced group & we all help each other out. It's like being in the "red headed step child" club. In spite of the demise of Buell - we still appreciate what they are & can do. It's like owning a 'collectors item' - ya gotta get creative & a hone our scavenging skills. TTFN, j |

Neroad, I'm with you. Great bike. While I won't say I haven't thought about parts availability I happen to think we will be able to get what we need. I owned a Triumph TR6 after the shut down of that company. While that car was far from trouble free, I was always able to find the parts I needed. |

Yea Riding the Uly has been a HOOT. I got the bike in December from Mesa Harley-Davidson. I had it shipped here to Baltimore, got here right after our first of many big snows. Just about killed me to sit on the bike and pretend to ride it..LOL I put over 7,000 miles on the bike to date. I know it's not much, but the Buell does share time with my Ultra. I did find that my hands do go numb and my butt gets sore after a while. So I am hoping that the risers and the 2" drop pegs will help. I am not a little fella tipping the scale at a mere 350lbs, but the Uly has no trouble getting up and going! If you get a chance...go check out my youtube site AnyroadAnytime. You will see why I got a Uly! |

Love your Buell and it'll love you back, beat the crap out of it and you'll get what you get. The signature I use on the bottom of all e-mails is "Buell... the next Vincent". We've got 'em, we're going to ride them 'till we or they drop and eventually they'll be unbelievably collectible. Enjoy it... |

The Uly is awesome. It is my favorite daily tour. There is no bike out there like it. |
